Preventative Body Maintenance

I, along with many people, have always viewed the body as a beautiful vessel that we use to navigate through the physical world. Our minds, the captain of the ship, guides the vessel and insures that we arrive at our destination safely and securely. Just like any other mechanical form of transportation we have to maintain our vessel for reliable use.

We occasionally maintain our cars; we monitor the oils, service the coolant, and regularly make sure we have proper tire pressures. Without a dependable car that we can rely on we would simply render ourselves useless. Recognizing the importance of proper auto maintenance we take great measures to make certain that we apply regular preventative maintenance.

The body (vessel) over an extended period of time takes on an enormous amount of punishment, we work forty to sixty hour weeks, eat unhealthy fast food, don't exercise on a regular basis to build strong muscles and are over exposed to pollutants. We occasionally take care of the thing we can visibly notice, like our teeth and eyesight. However, we never bother to take a look at the things that are more subtle.

Time passes by until one day you awaken- with bright healthy teeth - and you notice unusual pain and body aches, so you go to your physician only to find out that you have some kind of disease. And so you find yourself reflecting and asking yourself why this happened thus spending large amounts hours seeing the physician and ingesting perscription pills that complicate things with other side effects

Now... how can we avoid this type of scene? Very easy... routine exercise like jogging and a good nutritional diet plan.
