Workouts and Traveling

By: Eric Minden

As we all know exercise is an important part of our healthy everyday lives.
Yet, when we go out of town on vacation or on a business trip, we tend to put
our exercise routine on hold. Doing this will cause us to become lazy and
missing just one day of our routine will make it harder for us to get back on
track.

When we are out of town we should stick to our routine. Even though many people
will find any excuse to keep from doing it, such as saying that the hotel did
not have a gym or it was too far to walk to the gym in the hotel.

If you are stuck in a hotel room all day you should find time to do your
work out routine, even if this means doing it in between meetings or in between
family activities. The following exercises you can do anytime and anywhere,
including a small hotel room.

After you take time to stretch and warm up you may want to try doing some
squat thrusts. Simply place your feet hips width apart and squat down. Place
your hands on the ground in front of you and thrust your legs behind you, this
will put in a push up position. Placing all your weight on your hands, jump
forward, putting your feet at your hands. Stand up and repeat.

Another exercise you may want to try is leg lifts. To do this just lie on your
back and place your legs at a 90 degree angle at the hip. Keeping your abdominal
muscles tight, begin to lower you legs until your lower back begins to lift off
the ground. Push your back to the floor and hold your legs at that angle for
approximately thirty seconds. Lower your legs and then repeat.

When you are on a trip you should make time for your exercise routine, even if
it means doing the same exercises over and over. The last thing you would want
to do when you got home is tell you personal trainer that you didn't do your
routine because you were lazy.

So take the time you need each day to do your much needed exercises so you may
live a happy and healthy life.
